Aortic Valve Stenosis

The aortic valve is between your heart’s main pumping chamber (left ventricle) and the major artery (aorta) that carries blood to your body. Aortic Valve Stenosis occurs when the aortic valve is stiff and narrowed. A stenotic aortic valve does not open properly, causing a strain on the heart’s main pumping chamber, the left ventricle.
