A  pulmonary valve angioplasty is procedure that opens a stenotic pulmonary valve. A balloon catheter is inserted into an incision in the groin. The catheter is guided into the right heart and into the pulmonary outflow tract. The balloon catheter is inflated, expanding the narrow pulmonary. The balloon catheter is then removed.
