Normal Heart Valve

The heart’s valves valve system that keeps blood flowing forward through the heart. Valves prevent the blood from flowing backward from the lower chambers (ventricles) into the upper chambers (atria). They also keep blood from flowing backward from the outgoing arteries into the lower chambers (ventricles).
