How much do custom trial exhibits for a legal case cost?

We provide free estimates for each case because each case is unique.  A personal injury case may be as low as $1,360 (including 2 hours of case review at $180 per hour and a summary of injuries panel). Another case might have more case review, several illustrated panels, and a few animations and would cost more. Our goal is to always stay within your budget. We provide free itemized estimates for just this reason.

How much does a custom illustrated panel cost?

A custom panel usually ranges from $600 to $1,200.  The price depends on the number of illustrations in each panel and the number of hours it takes to complete them. Our custom illustration are created for printing on 30”x40” panels, but can be made for other sizes such and 8.5” x 11” handouts. We also can deliver panels as high resolution JPEGs files for use in PowerPoint or PDFs files for printing.

How much does a custom animation cost?

A custom medlegal animation is priced based on the length of the animation. The standard rate is $100-$260  per second. A 30 second animation would cost $3,000-$7,800.  The length of the animation depends on what needs to be shown in the animation.  Our team can help discuss your animation needs and help visualize what your animation will contain to determine the optimal length.

We can also customize existing animations to suit your needs.  We estimate the amount of time needed in advance and the cost is based on our $180 hour studio rate.

How do you use medical imaging (MRI, CT, and X-rays) to create trial exhibits?

Medical imaging can be displayed in several ways and will remain unaltered. The most popular option is to add a side-by-side illustration matching the medical image. Another option is creating a simple treatment with traced outlines, arrows, or labels.

3D reconstructive animations are an excellent way to show all angles of a situation. In our consultation, we can see if any of the available medical imaging is suitable for reconstruction. A reconstruction is a powerful tool, but can only be created from high quality imaging studies. Our best results come from CT and MRI scans with a large number of slices.

How long does it take to create custom trial exhibits?

Most custom illustrated panels can be created for your review in a few days to a week. Once we receive your feedback and desired revisions, it usually takes a day to two to receive the revised illustrations and deliver the final files. Animations can take two weeks or more, but it depends on the length and complexity of the animation.

Most importantly, please keep us aware of any important dates including mediations, depositions, or trials.  We can almost always work within your timeline even for rush cases.

What is provided with case review?

Our team of medical animators all have Master’s Degrees in medical illustration which includes a curriculum of coursework and dissection labs in gross anatomy, histology, pathology, and neuroanatomy. Our team has years of specialized experience exclusively creating medical and scientific animation.

When we review your case, we read all operative reports, imaging reports, and look at every piece of medical imaging. We can create a timeline, identify the strongest scans, and help you with every aspect of visual strategy.
