Renal failure is a condition where the kidneys fail to filter waste products from the blood adequately.  Irreversible damage to the nephrons that filter the blood leads to renal failure.  Nephrons may exhibit focal sclerosing nephropathy, dital tubule injury, and interstitial nephritis.
