Electrophysiology Study

An Electrophysiology Study is performed to evaluate the electrical activity of the heart. Three to five electrically sensitive catheters placed inside the heart record electrical activity. These recordings locate abnormal tissue that causes irregularities in the heartbeat (arrhythmias).
